Springfields Probus Club
An Invitation!
Have you missed chatting with your fellow man? Do you like the occasional lunch with friendly people? Do you enjoy trips to places of interest? Are you retired/semi retired and have time for these things?
Try us out and see if you like it.
First two course lunch will be paid for by your Spalding Springfields Probus Club sponsor.
That free lunch is only for those who have never joined or visited another Probus Club.
Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us HERE.
The Spalding Springfields Probus Club meets on the third Wednesday of every month at the Woodlands Hotel, 80 Pinchbeck Road, Spalding, Lincolnshire, PE11 1QF. Telephone 01775 769933. Below is a picture of the hotel’s front.
The main entrance is on the right of the building as it is shown here.
We gather at 12 Midday for a 12:30 lunch. Most months there is a guest speaker and we do try and vary the content in order that all members are hopefully entertained and not bored. One of our speakers was a gentleman who talked about how his archaeological group dig up aircraft remains and place monuments to the fallen aircrews. In October 2021 one of our members Nigel Wickenden gave a talk on William Angus VC who was the uncle of Nigel’s Scottish Police friend Jim McNulty.
In April we hold the Annual General Meeting and there is therefore no guest speaker. The July meeting is usually in the form of a buffet with partners attending and again there will be no speaker.
